Kyla A. trip to Peru!

I just got back from the adventure of my life! I went to Peru for a trip away from school. The people I met were super helpful to giving me directions to places like the Paracas National Reserve. The places I went to, were just breath taking because the views of the landscape were perfect. I have so many pictures to show to people and hang up! My hikes and walks around  Peru were amazing.

I got a fantastic picture of Machu Picchu when I was there my second day in Peru! The weather was a bit chilly, but the view was spectacular! The landscape had so many different colors. Then when the time came for food, the food was delicous. The servers were so nice and patient with me when I was ordering my food. After I got my food I decided to go on a hike up a trail. When I was walking on a hike, my view of the top of the mountain was so amazing words don't summarize how beautiful it was.

The Colca Canyon and Arequipa was very peaceful when I visited. Not to many visitors because it was later in the evening, so it wasn't a mob of people with cameras in your face trying to get a good picture! The next day, I went to Cuzco and spent the whole day admiring the culture there. The culture was so ineresting to me! One guy started talking to me about when he was a kid and how it was back then. The people were probably so used to people asking directions that when I went to go say "Hi" to someone they just asked where I wanted to go! The time I was there was a blast and great break from school. I would suggest to my friends to go to Peru for vacation because it was an amazing experience of my life!

Ashley M. in Peru

Hola!! How are you doing. I'm doing fine thank you very much. Today I'm going to tell you about a trip I took last week with my best friend Annie. We had sooooo much fun. Thats why I'm going to tell you about it. Duh, sorry I just had a major blonde moment. So it all begins when i got on the plane. J.K. I'm not going that far back.

So when I got of the plane I saw a beautiful sight. We were in Machu Picchu. I've been waiting for ever to be here and I finally am! Once we got to the hotel room we choose to get in our swimsuits on so we could swim in the lake of Titicaca.Wow! What cold water, it's a nice cool down though.

I think that water was a lot colder than we expected. So we decied to go back to the hotel room and get something to eat because the sun was setting. But, Annie had a much better idea. She was saying that we should check out the culture a little bit more and that we should go to a resturant instead of just getting some room service. We went to a resturant that was only 10 minutes away from the main market. Annie decided to order some sushi and I ordered chicken. I was so good. I was kind of suprised because most of the things on the menu was a lot like what we had in North America. We decided that the food was so good that we decided to give a generous tip. Then we headed back into the hotel.

The hotel was beautiful! It was rated 5 stars and we picked a wonderful sweet. We had at least a king size bead and the walls were beautifuly painted with ancient paintings. The furniture was even so lovely crafted because that was something they speacilized in.

The very next day we choose to go for a hike to The Mountain of Machu Picchu. This was one big mountain. Being over 7,000 feet above sea level. The hiking trails were split into three areas, agriculteral, urban, and religous. These are arranged like this so that the function of the buildings were able to relate and make a welcoming enviroment around them. This place is amazing and very peacful. At times you can see people medatating around at the top. This may be a long hike but it is so worth it once you get higher and higher to see the beautiful sight from a distance.

A couple days later we went for a tour around the jungle.

Sup! Went to Argentina. -Annisa L.

I went to Argentina this year to escape the tortures of exams and works of homework that turns us into mindless zombies. I got to have some fun.

The first stop I went to was The End of the World Museum in Ushuaia, Argentina. Pretty cool name, right? It held more than 8,000 years of history of  elements and utensils are there. There's also harpoons, scrapers and flints that represents the hunters and fishermen on the island. Turns out, there's also a famous prison that still has the uniforms worn by the warden and prisoners on display.

Next, I went for a little recreation in Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego. (It means National Park Land of Fire, in case anyone was wodering). I went horseback riding, hiking, and I also saw a red fox. It was also fun to camp there, although some stole my breakfast.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iguazu_Falls
Finally, I went sightseeing and saw the Iguazu Falls. It was so cool and beautiful. Did you know that the mist there rises between 100 and 490 feet into the air. Talk about foggy!

Carter T. Goes to Colombia

I flew to Colombia on a plane it was a six hour flight from Boise Idaho. When i got to the airport i found a rental car to drive around it was a mini van :P and i drove around i had the fleet on me and then i found a hotel called the Amazon Bed and Breakfast. then i spent the night at the amazon and woke up and went to go get my breakfast i had eggs toast and other foods.

Day 2

The next day i drove my mini van to the cafe Colombia and got snacks for the big hike up the to the amazing museum full of artifacts to rob fast JK. when i got up the hill i saw the museum it looked like the hall of rich people in the future. i ran inside and got the artifacts and ran out tripped and rolled down the hill and hopped into the fast mini van and spent the night at the Amazon hotel.

Day 3
i hopped into the car and drove down to the airport. when i got there it was full of cops so i found a secret tunnel and it lead to airplane, so i got in and flew off. but the cops got in planes also and started shooting at me so i threw things behind so it would hit the cops so i could get away.

Alyse C. Adventure to Chile

On February 11, 2014 I hopped on an airplane to go to Chile! I did a lot of research for where I should go when I got there. My first stop was Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, this was a gorgeous place with a huge mountain that I hiked up. This took a long time to do and a lot of physical fitness for me, but it was totally worth it. I saw pretty waterfalls that were huge and rivers that were full of fish. There was also this really huge bridge that i walked across, beneath it was a river. This mountain ranged up to 9,000 feet! In Chile a lot of girls wear pretty patchwork, tribal clothing that was really pretty!

I was really tired after that long hike, so I went back to my hotel and slept for a long time. When I woke up, I decided to go somewhere else fun because I wanted to get all the time in to do fun things while I was in Chile. Next I went to La Chascona, this was an architectural building that this guy built as his "secret hideaway"  a long time ago. I looked at pictures online before I went to Chile and when I actually toured this place, it wasn't what I expected. Apparently awhile ago this place got ransacked during the dictatorship so a lot of the old vases and paintings were lost. I was bummed out about that since I did pay money to tour this place, but I should of researched it more. After that, I was really hungry so I ate at this restaurant and I ordered Carbonada which is this beef vegetable stew that was delicious.

Lastly, I went to Reserva Nacional Malalcahuello-Nalacas which had a really awesome view! I took so many pictures. Again this was a long hike. but I did come to Chile to lose some weight. Haha! The ground was a red-ish color kind of like Mars. But, if you fell it would really hurt because the ground was covered in ash and lava rock that was sharp. There was also sand on the ground that looked like the Sahara Deserts. I was really tired after this hike and it was also really hot outside when I went. I got to the hotel, went to bed, and slept for a long time, in the morning I had to go home. Although I was going to miss Chile, I had to go back home to Idaho. I was excited to go back and tell my family what I saw in Chile!

Noelle L visited Argentina

Yesterday I traveled to Argentina and saw Iguazú Falls. The veiw was amazing. Even though I couldn't hike up all the way to the falls, part of an attemt to preserve them, the scene from the   The falls are actually made up of a few different water cascades and are surounded by rich rainforest. The name actually comes from a few words and means "big water".
It's really refreshing after a long hike to stand near the falls and feel the spray in the wind as well as hear their water hit the rocks. It's no wonder that Iguazu Falls was announced as one of the Seven Wonders of Nature in 2011. I actually learned that it flows in both Argentina and Brazil. As I took pictures (of cource) I noticed the shape is almost like a reverse letter J. If you visit Argentina or even Brazil, you definately need to see these facinating falls.

Another place I went to while staying in Argentina was Circo del Aire. Technically it's not a place to sight see but rather a circus. The trapeze artists were stunning! The flips and stunts that they did made you hold your breath in fear, hoping they wouldn't slip in that centimeter between the bar and empty air. After that act I was in desperate need of a massage from all the excitement/fear. But the best part is that you get to try it out for yourself if you want to because they offer lessons for both adults and children. They put on shows in studios and garage-like spaces so you feel like a part of the community. Nothing compares to the feeling of watching magic and the impossible happen in a garage.

Aaron O. goes to Argentina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One day I hopped on a flying elephant named tubby and flew to Argentina. While I was in Argentina I went to the City of Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and is also the largest city in Argentina. While I was in Buenos Aires i went to  Parque de la Costs which is an amusementpark which is located in Tigre a northern suburb of Buenos Aires. I also went to Iguazu Falls. Iguazu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Brazilian state of Paraná and the Argentine province of Misiones. The falls divide the river into the upperand lower Iguazu. That was my trip to Argentina.

Trip To Peru!!! Andie C.

I just got back from Peru and i had so much fun and learned a bunch of cool stuff. On my trip i went to see Machu Picchu. I learned that Machu Picchu is Inca runes. Machu Picchu is located in Cuzco and their is a trail leading to Machu Picchu and is one of Peru's most popular sites to see .Machu Picchu was discovered by an american historian Hiram Bingham in 1911. lots of burial sites have been found along with skeletal remains .Machu Picchu is divided into two large sectors one is the agricultural which contains the terraces and the other part is the urban which is used for administrative and religious activities. It was really cool to see and i took tons of pictures.

Machu Picchu

while is was there I heard about a festival they were going to celebrate soon. it was called Inti Raymi. This festival is also know as the festival of the sun and is held on June 24. it was too bad I had to leave before the festival was going to be celebrated but it sounded like a lot of fun. I also heard that there are many street dances and parades that go on whish sounded so much fun to watch.

The last thing I did was go rafting it was AWESOME!!! I went with some of my friends and we all loved it. A couple of my friends hadn't done river rafting before but the loved it. it's a lot of hard work but really fun. It's also great exercise. We all had gotten wet by the time we were done but it was worth it!After the river rafting was done we were all quite hungry so we got something to eat. it was sooooo yummy.

well to pretty much sum it up Peru is the place to go if your looking for a fun filled trip.

Peru!! James H.

Yesterday, I went to Peru and went to Chan Chan. Chan Chan is the biggest mud-brick city in pre-Hispanic America!! All the ruins and old cities in Peru were amazing to see. It was like traveling back in time and living there. there was Machu Picchu in the mountains, which is considered the star attraction of Cuzco. Nobody really knows much about the history of Machu Picchu. there are over 50 burial sites and 100 skeleton remains judging by the high quality stonework we can assume that Machu Picchu was an important ceremonial center.

The Incan People of Peru have an amazing culture. with today's knowledge and resent architectural findings we can know that music has been played as far back as 10,000 years. the music style ranges from smooth and caring to happy and upbeat.

Peru is bigger than France, Germany, Italy, Netherland, and Switzerland combined. With three different Graphic regions there in Peru there are plenty of other things to do. From swimming in the ocean, hiking through the amazon or Dominating the Andes. there are a lot of things to do. There are to primary seasons in Peru, the wet season and the dry season. the dry season is when it is good to explore the amazon rain forest, or hike the mountains. If you want to have beach time then the wet season is the perfect time to go to the beach. Peru is an amazing place with a lot of interesting culture, and a lot of interesting places, I would highly recommend going there if you ever decide to go to south america.

Nick's Trip to CHILE!

On February 5th I went to Chile and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!! On the first day I went to Lauca National Park. The twin volcanoes there are awesome, Volcan Parinacota, and Volcan Pomerape. Lauca also is home of the famous Lago Chungar
a, one of the highest lakes in the world. Then I stayed in a hotel named The Singular Patagonia. The rooms are spacious, the foods fantastic, and the view's amazing!

Next I went to Easter Island. Easter is one of the most isolated islands in the world. Easter is famous for it's 887 statues. Easter Island is located thousands of miles off the coast, but still belongs to Chile.

Well that was my AMAZING trip to Chile, I hope you enjoyed.

Jaymie S Trip to Argentina

Yesterday I went to Argentina and saw some beautiful beaches, mountains, and cities! I saw Honu beach in Argentina it is very beautiful and it has a lot of surfing. The people wore normal beach clothes like swimsuits and shorts and t-shirts. They eat just like us, crab, sushi, waffles, prime rib, just normal foods.

Next I went sight seeing I saw some amazing mountains. They were so perfect.
The mountain that I got to go see is  Ojos del Salado. It is the tallest mountain in the western
hemisphere, standing at 22,608 feet (6893 m).

The last thing I got to see are some cities. I saw are Buenos Aires Province,  and Puerto Madryn. All these cities were amazing and beautiful. I hope I can visit Argentina again.

Faith E. goes to Peru

I just got back from Peru, I was there for 3 years it was amazing. When I was in Peru I went to a lot of places but I had three favorites. My first favorite place i went to was a carnival it was amazing it was so much fun. There was dancing, music, and a lot of people. The carnival was in February it was called the carnival of joy. You plant an artificial tree trunk laden with gifts everyone would dance around untill they heard the ax chop the tree down. The couple who make the final hack that brings down the tree will then both be in charge of organizing the yunza next year. Peruvians across the country are extremely fond of tossing buckets of water at each other during this festival, so onlookers would be wise to take precautions. Cities where carnivals reach a high include Cajamarca and Puno. I got four buckets of water tossed on me! I had such a fun time at the Carnival.

After the carnival I went home and slept for the longest time. The next day I didnt wake up untill like 1:30 so I decided just to stay home that day because there wasnt anything I could think of that I wanted to do. The next day my friend Meranda called me and said " Hey sleepy head do you want to come with me and a couple more friends and go rafting, its really fun trust me". It did seem pretty fun so I got my bathing suit on and she came and picked me up and we were off. When we got to the river we orderd a raft before so it was already when we got there. There was two other people that came with us, you should have seem us it was so much fun but it wasnt fun when i almost fell out of the raft because we were trying to avoid a rock. The river we went on was called the Jungle. It was the longest rafting trip I have ever been on, but it was so much fun I cant wait untill I get to do it again.Peruvian Cuisine is among the finest and most diverse cuisines found in Latin America and indeed the World

After we all went rafting we all went home and got changed so we could go to dinner. So I got home and changed and dryed off so I wasnt all wet. About an hour later my friends were hear to pick me up we were going to a place called the Peravian Cuisine. When we got there as soon as we walked in there was a huge sign saying that they were known for the varity of food and its exquisite taste. Peruvian Cuisine is among the finest and most diverse cuisines found in Latin America and indeed the World. These are the best things I did when i was in Peru. I wish I could have stayed there forever.

Jessica T. goes to Argentina

I just got back from my trip to Argentina with my friend Amy and my other friend Tyler. We went walking in many parks on the first day. We also looked at marble statues and we also saw the remains of old city ruins. Amy had set up going wine tasting but I decided we were a little under aged. Shame on you Amy. Tyler wanted to stay at the marble statue museum forever but we made him leave eventually. It wasn't good for his little brain.

The second day we were there we went exploring. We went to see Volcanic Summits. We also went ice treking and climbing. that took up most of the day. We also went exploring in forests. We went wolf tracking and we saw spiders and snakes an creepy little creatures. We got kind of freaked out, (especially Tyler, he peed his pants) so we left. Tyler went back to the hotel while Amy and I went to the beautiful beach. The sand was white. The water was crystal blue. When Amy and I got back we went tangoing. I met this Spanish Beauty named Juan Pablo. He promised me he would take Amy, Tyler, and I to Iguacu Falls tomorrow.

The third day was awesome and awful and funny at the same time. Juan Pablo was looking as spicy as ever. He took us to the base of the mountain. We had so much fun. He took us up the mountain on the trails. We had so much fun. We hiked up the falls to where we found the most BEAUTIFUL FALLS EVER!!!! We decided we wanted to swim but then as we got close to the edge Amy fell. Amy slipped and fell down the water fall and died. We had a great funeral here in Argentina. On her tombstone said,"Here lies Amy Wintersteen. The clumsiest person ever." After the funeral Tyler and I felt bad, and frankly freaked out, so we went back home.

                                                                       THE END

Aubree B----> I went to Argentina!!

I just got back from a trip to Argentina!!!! It was so fun!! On my first day there I arrived very late, but  the next morning I went to Cementerio de la Recoleta. It was really creepy!! There are statues lining the paths, and some crazy crypts. They contain admirable people from the military, old presidents, famous people, and even politicians. It's quite a sight! Later that day I went out to eat at this restaurant called La Cholita. There's lots of traditional Argentinian foods, and I tried carbonada for the very first time. It is a stew with meat, pumpkin, corn, and potatoes. To my surprise, it was even baked in a pumpkin!! Carbonada was pretty good, but nothing I'm used to in America. Afterwards, I went back to my hotel to research new places to go to.
                   http://www.4rentargentina.com/blog/es/cementerio-de-la-recoleta-un-tesoro-de-buenos-aires

Later in the day, I went sight seeing around town, and saw some of the clothing customs around the cities and villages. The attire they wear is similar to Americans, including jeans or slacks, t-shirts, and Argentine World Cup soccer team jerseys. The jerseys seem to be the most popular trend, with many people wearing them. I was exhausted, so I went to my hotel to rest for the night. When I woke up, I was in for a really long drive!! I would be traveling 681 miles to Cerro Aconcagua, a huge mountain by the Argentinean and Chilean border. It would take around 12 hours to arrive, so I wouldn't be seeing it until the next day. We drove for what seemed like a thousand years, but we finally got there. It was night time and we were all tired, so we checked into our new hotel and went to bed.

When I awoke it was daylight, and we were off to see Cerro Aconcagua. It was the biggest, scariest mountain I've ever seen!!!!!!! It is 22,841 feet tall, and has a lot of faces around it. I wanted to climb it, but it looked so massive I decided against it....I would've needed a lot of equipment!! Another sight we definitely wanted to see was Parque Nacional Iguazu. It was a whopping 1,706 miles away, so we needed to get driving. It was going to take anywhere from 16 to 20 hours, so we would have to stop along the way to spend the night at another hotel. I didn't have a problem with it, so we gathered our stuff and headed for Parque Nacional Iguazu!!

The drive was quite brutal, but we made it. Parque Nacional Iguazu was the prettiest and most exciting park I've ever seen!! There are huge waterfalls and plenty of wildlife, too. There are about 2,000 plant species, and 400 types of birds alone! Unfortunately, it was our last day in Argentina. We spent as much of the day in Parque Nacional Iguazu as we could, then packed up our stuff and waited for the flight home, which was very, very early the next morning. Argentina was so much fun, and I definitely recommend going there!!!!

Sara P.

Last week I got back from my amazing adventure to Peru. I saw
Amazing things there but I can only get to my favorite things.
The first day it took me 8-9 hours on a plane but once I got there
I was relieved to see my taxi driver holding a sign that had my
name on it. I got there at six and the taxi driver drove me strait
To my hotel it was sooooo pretty!

I checked in and ordered pizza and watched men in black. By the time my movie was done it was a quarter to eleven. I went right to bed I woke up at nine o'clock and got dressed and walked down to the lobby to eat breakfast. I walked out the door and found my taxi driver and found out his name was Jo he picked me up and took me to my surfing lessons.

After surfing lessons I went to the café and got a food called cuy it actually was really good but I guess it was made out of guinea pig
the next day I went bird watching.
Bird watching was so fun I found really cool birds there.
The rest of the week I mostly stayed on the beach. But the last day I went to the kingdoms of mud they were so cool. I was sad to go but in a way I was relieved to be back home.

                  The End

Peru. Josh J.

This year I went to Peru. I went to Apurimac Canyon, Ampay National Sanctuary, and Machu Picchu. These places were amazingly incredible. These places were very fun and adventurous.
The first place I went to is Ampay National Sanctuary. When I was there I saw a lot of beautiful areas I saw some glacial lakes, I also saw some crystal clear streams flowing down the Ampay mountain.
After that great experience I decided to go to Apurimac Canyon. At Apuramic Canyon I went canoeing. I was totes pro with waterfalls and really fast rapids. After my pro canoeing I went to some viewing spots.
Now its time for my last stop, Machu Picchu. When I arrived I went straight to the "lost cities." These are Incan cities that weren't discovered till 1911. It was so amazing seeing the worlds history and the beautiful city built on such beautiful land. I couldnt believe my eyes. it was amazingly green.
This trip was just amazing, fun, surprising, and an adventure. I could not describe this trip in words it was so amazing. Now its time for me to get some more money for tickets back!!!!!!

Madelyn C. Peru!

When I went to Peru I went river rafting and it was so much fun!! There were so many rivers to choose from to go rafting on. But I finally decided to go on the Magpie River. I was really cold and kept on getting splashed in the face. But in the end it was worth it. We kept on crashing into a lot of rocks. At first I thought the boat was gonna pop but it didn't. When we were going down the river we saw black bears, wolves, and moose. We had to make sure we didnt run into them, or else that wouldnt have been very fun. After that we decided to get ready and go visit some cities in Peru.

Also while I was there I visited many cities. They were so pretty and interesting. Peru has so many attractions. One of them is Saywite. It is one of the finest examples of Inca sculpture. The sculpture Saywite was so interesting to look at. AYACUCHO was one of the cities I went to. It was the city of 33 churches. CERRO DE PASCO was also another city I went to. In the city there was a place called The Huayllay National Sanctuary. It is a set of natural stone formations shaped like animals and humans. The tour person told me the forms of the rocks change depending on the place of the sun. There were so many cities I visited but those were just a few. After visiting so many cities i got tired and went back to my hotel to relax.

After relaxing at my hotel, my friends and I began to get hungry so we decided to go to the Peruuian Cuisine. People told us its the best place to go. They were right it was delicious. It served Italian, Chinese, Japanese, African, Arab and the best French Cuisines. In an interview I read there, it said that the Chef at the Peruuian Cuisine is the best in the whole world! At the restaurant I got, chicken and rice. After my friends and I stuffed are faces we went back to the hotel and went to bed. And then the next day we sadly had to go home. :(

rachel G. goes to costa rica

i just got back from a three year trip to COSTA RICA!

i found this sloth and named it bubbles. we had much fun together. we went on a tour. the tour guide told us that costa rica has a population of 4.805 million people. the guide also told me that costa ricas flag looks
like this.  the tour guide also told us that costa rica has a beach called "playas."

thats where me and fed went next.  We had a wonderful time together and found out a lot about each other.  we stayed there for about 2 more  hours and then we went back to our hotel in the city of San Jose. we woke up the next morning ready to go back on the tour.  this rime it was a different tour guide.  she told us that we would be visiting another city called moin. she told us that it was quite far away from where we were now.  which was san jose.  she also said that we would have to stay many nights there and that we should bring some money so that we can buy things like food and souvenirs.

after that great adventure.  a few days later we found this other city called La Cruz.  we went there for a while and found out that it has a population of only 19,181 people.  me and fred both could not believe how suprising that was for that much an area.  only to have that many people living there.  we hurried home and spent the rest of our days in the lovely San Jose.

Annie D. in Peru

HOLA!! Hows life? Mines okay thanks for asking! Last week I went  went to Peru with my friend Ashley. We decided to to go to Machu Picchu. IT WERE SO COOL!!!! We also went to Lake Titicaca. The lake was surprisingly warm.... Ashley and I had an amazing time, heres the story........

When we arrived, we went straight to the room after we checked in. The room was magnificent. It had painted cielings with a bed that was at least a king. we decided to plan out our trip. We said that we should go to Machu Picchu tomarrow and check out some Inca sites. So we woke up and took a bus to Machu Picchu. It was so beautiful. On the ride up, the tour guide gave us some facts on the mountain. He said that Machu Picchu is a 15th century Inca site that has many ancient ruins of the Incas lifestyle.  He also said that the mountain was 7,970 ( 2,430 meters ) above sea level.

When we were driving back to the hotel the tour guide offered a free tour to Lake Titicaca. Of course we accepted! We got there and the first thing I noticed was the really blue water. It was so blue that you could practically see to the bottom! We got in, and I thought we were in a hot spring. It was so warm. Ashley asked the tour guide why it was so warm, and he said that because the sun is by it every day, the water gets veary warm by the aftenoon. Lake Titicaca is fed by rainwater and melting glaciers. It also reaches a depth of 1,000 feet. Sooner or later, we had to head back to the hotel.

We got back to the hotel and started packing for the trip home. All of a sudden Ashley started crying. "Ashley why are you crying?" I asked. "I don't want to go back to America!!!" she replied. Ashley's request was denied and so, we headed back. We had a safe trip home and we gave each other a big squeeze, and we went our separate ways back to our home towns. In conclusion, Ashley and I had a wonderful trip to Peru, and we both learned so much about the wildlife and nature in Peru.

Tyler S. goes to Argentina

K guys I totes went to Argentina yesterday with my buds Amy and Jess  :)

It was AMAZING!!!!!!! We went to some amazing places too. Like Iguazu Falls, Cementerio de la Recoleta, and Perito Moreno Glacier.

When we went to Iguazu Falls it was so cool. We learned some amazing things like that it is 269 ft tall!!!!!!!! Also we found out that the first person to find the falls was Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca in 1541. It was one longggggg walk up the falls tho but it was worth it because of the breath taking view. All in all it was an amazing experience at the Iguazu Falls.

The next place we went was Cementerio de la Recoleta. It is a cemetery with lots of dead dudes and chicks. It was pretty sweet!! Amy was almost in that cemetery because she fell down the stairs on the way up to the falls. HAHAHAH!! We learned that the granddaughter of Napoleon Bonaparte is buried there. Amy and Jess were freaking out the whole time because they thought that zombies were going to pop out of the ground.

The last place we went was Perito Moreno Glacier. It was probable the best but it was a little cold.
Amy and Jess were being little babies tho because it was a little cold. We learned that the glacier is 97 square miles!! And also we learned that it is the worlds 3rd largest reserve of fresh water! WOW!

All in all it was an amazing trip we had lots of fun even after a couple mishaps (mostly from Amy). And we learned a lot, so ill say that was probable one of the best vacations ever!!!!

Taylor W. went to Peru!

My family and I just got back from Peru and let me just say, WOW!

Peru is filled with so many magical places! The first day in Peru we went rafting along the coast. We went so fast I thought I was going to fall off! We saw so many birds, plants and animals. I took so many pictures that the memory on my camera was filled up by the time we got back to our hotel! That was just part of the fun I had in Peru!

The second day in Peru was so cool! We went to Manu National Park! I saw so many amazing animals I've never seen before in the U.S. I saw lizards, birds, and more animals than I could count! I love being around animals and this was truley the best expirence I've had! This was so fun and I hope that I can do this again with my family!

The last day in Peru we went to Colca Canyon. This was truley amazing! This is one of the deepest canyons on earth, with a depth of over 3,400 meters at its lowest point, from where the amazing flight of the Andean condor can be witnessed. I actually say the Andean condor fly! I even got a picture of it! This was the best trip I've been on! I can't wait to go to Peru again!!!

Me and my bestie Grace just got back from a foxy rad trip to Cancun, Mexico! It was totes fabulicous!

Cancun literally means snake nest! Scary right!!!! A good hotel is the JW Mariot and El Cid at Rivera Maya!!! Cancun is 14 miles of beaches shaped like the number 7. Cancun was part of the ancient maya civilization and is still considered the gateway to the Mayan world.

Some places I went were Ultramar, Playa Delfines, and Dolphin Discovery!!!The Ultramar is a ferry that took us around the Island of Cancun! In Playa Delfines we played in the water and walked around!! It was incredible! In Dolphin Discovery we got to swim with dolphins! It was so Much totes cray cray fun!

i went to peru on a church mission with my grandma. me and my grandma had do much fun. in fact we are planning onother trip this summer and that will be my third time going to peru!!

me and my grandma stayed at cuzoco but travled to other tows in peru such as puno, limaand mancora.

we ate rice, sheep, quina pig and lots of chicken. i rememder seeing lots of alpacas and chickens roaming around on the streets of puno.

did you know that the quina pig is their main alimal there when we keep them as pets here they eat them over there.
